The Fairy Tale Fair is coming back to Brighton for the first time in seven years, bringing a festive Christmas market to St Augustine’s Arts Centre on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 November.

Held in the striking former church on Stanford Avenue, the fair will feature more than 40 talented local makers and creatives selling unique Christmas gifts, cards and treats. It’s the perfect chance to find something special while supporting independent businesses.

What’s On

Alongside the stalls, visitors can enjoy:

  • Face painting for children
  • Live performances throughout the day
  • Festive workshops
  • Seasonal treats and drinks from the in-house Cielo Cakery

Entry is free, making it an affordable day out for families in the run-up to Christmas.

Brighton Local

The return of the Fairy Tale Fair adds to a busy festive season in the city, with Brighton’s Christmas markets already attracting shoppers looking for something different from the high street. For locals keen to shop small this year, the fair is a chance to buy directly from the makers and creatives who give Brighton its independent character.

St Augustine’s, set in the Preston Park area, is easy to reach from the city centre and a short walk from Preston Park station. Combine a visit with a stroll around the park or a trip to the Seven Dials Christmas late-night shopping event for a full festive day out.
