Frankie and the Witch Fingers @ Green Door Store, Monday 2nd September

The band’s main attraction is their explosive performance, which includes rowdy energy and absurd lyrical imagery. Each member brings a unique approach to their dark yet playful performances, powering rock n’ rock party fuel. The gig promises to airy vocal harmonies over heavily-serrated riffs.

King Yellowman & The Sagittarius Band @ Komedia Brighton, Tuesday 3rd September

Jamaican-native Yellowman is a reggae and dancehall deejay who’s 80s chart topping tunes has earned him a Grammy Award nomination. He has made a return to music following a battle with cancer, and is now pushing socially conscious music. One not to miss.

Joe Woodham @ The Rose Hill, Wednesday 4th September

Joe Woodham is a young talent who merges the various genres of ramblin’ folk, blues and jazz to create his own unique sound. Inspired by the likes of Bob Dylan and The Beatles, his performance is bound to be a crowd pleaser. He’ll be joined by singer-songwriter Leonie Evans.

Ohtis @ The Hope & Ruin, Thursday 5th September

American band Ohtis are performing at The Hope & Ruin on Thursday. Their alternative, dark approach to country music has won legions of them fans in the States. Let Ohtis take you on a musical journey through their truthful lyrics that explore upbringing and heartbreak.

Teeth of the Sea @ The Green Door Store, Friday 6th September

London-based psychedelic rock band Teeth of the Sea are touring their fifth album, WRAITH this autumn. Their largely instrumental album features electronic percussion and melancholic yet ferocious sounds, and is sure to warm up The Green Door Store this Friday Night.

Babe Rainbow @ Coalition, Saturday 7th September

Babe Rainbow’s Saturday night gig was originally supposed to take place at The Haunt, but was moved to Coalition after the club recently announced its shock closure. The move has left Brighton Journal wondering whether Coalition might takeover from The Haunt as Brighton’s premier gig venue.

The Lonesome Ace Stringband @ Rose Hill Tavern, Sunday 8th September

If you’re in the mood for some folksy, country inspired music to end your week, then head down to the Rose Hill Tavern to see The Lonesome Ace Stringband. Originally hailing from Canada, the quartet are stopping off Brighton as part of their world tour.
