The Brighton Dome brings Digging For Shakespeare to Brighton this weekend. The Theatrical performance devised by artist Marc Rees made it’s premier at the Brighton Festival in 2016 and has since been commissioned to be performed at the Brighton Dome Flounders Room. Get tickets for the event here.Â

Keep your kids active this weekend by taking them to a children’s fun run at Easthill Park. The event is free admission so there is no excuse not to take your kids and have fun. The day is split into a number f different races depending on length and age, so there will be opportunity for all to join in.

Brighton’s Open Air Theatre is bringing the most famous love story ever told to the seaside. Local troupe This is my Theatre will be performing Romeo & Juliet 400 years on from Shakespeare’s death. The performance is lead by Brightonian Sarah Slator and will be great theatre under the Brighton skyline. Perfect Friday night entertainment, tickets can be brought on the door.

Hip Hop singer songwriter Shakka is at Coaltion Saturday night. He will be performing from 11pm, with tickets available on the door. MOBO winner Shakka will be live at the club in association with OYB.

Brighton will be celebrating Refugee Week this weekend as part of the City of Sanctuary Network. The Crossing Boarders festival takes place this weekend involving global performers and composers who have sought sanctuary in Brighton.
Al the events are hosted around the city, so watch out for some hidden gems!
Komedia’s famous Krater Comedy Club is of course on this weekend. With events on Friday and Saturday, the cabaret style evening hosts a number of upcoming comedians as well as well established performers. The night will be full of laughs, with reasonable drinks and nachos available too! Komedia is perfect for anyone looking to relax this Saturday night.

If you’re looking for a thrill on Friday night then look no further than The Bad Murder Tour. Experience Brighton after dark as you move from the clock tower through the city learning about the ghosts and murderers that once walked the streets. Not suitable for people under the age of 16, obviously.
Tickets are not necessary as you pay on the night. Meet at the clock tower at 9pm if you dare.
