A Brighton Teenager has been missing for nearly 7 weeks. Joe French has been missing since the 11th of May, he was last seen leaving his address in Brighton. Joe is white with dark hair and stands at 5’10”. Please call Sussex Police on 101 quoting serial 1694 of 11/05.
Following last nights demonstration there is to be an anti-racism demonstration at The Level this Sunday. Demonstrators are asked to attend at 12:30 to rally against the racist rhetoric seen in the last week.
Following a report of an Icelandic family being harassed at the end of the England V Icleand game on Monday, Sussex Police have assured the public they have seen no increase in hateful crimes in the area. The Police have stated that despite “wide reports in other areas” that this is “not the case in Sussex”. The police are working closely with the community to monitor situations and avoid any hateful behaviour, but if you have any reports of hate crimes contact Sussex Police on 101.
David Cameron has criticised the performance of Southern Rail. During Prime Ministers Question Time today, the Prime Minister has promised better compensation for begrudged commuters who have suffered strikes, delays and all round bad service by the franchise. This comes following a number of strikes and demonstrations by commuters and workers alike. Caroline Lucas has been pushing for better compensation and is holding a talk for commuters to air their grievances.
Brighton and Hove Albion have had their first fixture changes for next season. The Seagulls will now play Cardiff at Home a day earlier than originally scheduled on the 30th December rather than New Years Eve, as well as taking a trip to Wolves a day earlier than planned on the 17th April. Albion are looking to make the push into the Premiership next season after this years close race for a promotion spot.
