With a busy week ahead, we take look at what is to come in Brighton this week in the music scene.

Charlotte Carpenter plays Sticky Mikes Frog Bar

Monday 6th June: Irish rock band Walking on Cars perform at Concorde 2 with Will Joseph Cook supporting. The Hunna bring their You and Me tour to Patterns, formally Audio. The legendary American guitarist Steve Vai takes to the stage at the Brighton Dome as a part of the Passion and Warfare 25 year Anniversary Tour. Finally, upcoming singer Charlotte Carpenter brings her live show to Sticky Mikes Frog Bar.

Tuesday 7th June: The legendary Beverly Knight is bringing her soulful voice to the Brighton Dome, whilst Paris based band Weird Dreams play at the Prince Albert. Exciting indie band YAK are also at Patterns following the release of their debut album Alas Salvation, with tickets for all still available now.

Birdskulls will headline the Hope and Ruin

Wednesday 8th June: Rock band Birdskulls play a grungy set at the Hope and Ruin, with support coming in the form of alternative rock band Solids. Meanwhile, upcoming math-pop group Signals play at Komedia.

Thursday 9th June:  Seasoned rockers Thousand Year Stare bring their legendary live show to the small Hope and Ruin, whilst the energetic indie band Bloody Knees play at Patterns. Tickets are available for both.

Hot Wuk returns to Concorde 2 on friday

Friday 10th June: Candi Station’s Young Hearts Run Free Anniversary Tour comes to Concorde 2. Secret Scouts celebrate reaching 100,000 hits on their website in The Joker, hosting a part with live acts throughout the night. Upcoming singer songwriter Molly Nilsson also takes to the stage at the Green Door Store. Garage rock band The Mystery Lights headline at the Hope and Ruin, whilst finally crowd favourite carnival Hot Wuk returns to Concorde 2 from 11pm.

Saturday 11th June: Punk tribute band Sham 69 play what will surely be a energetic set at Concorde 2, whilst Brighton based ska band The Meow Meows launch their new album in the Hope and Ruin with sever
al support acts including Voodoo Love Orchestra. Punk band Petrol Girls also play at the Prince Albert with support from Demon Smiles. Saturday also sees the first day of Wildlife Festival which takes place at Shoreham Airport. Disclosure, Annie Mac and DJ EZ all perform, amongst others.

Wildlife continues on Sunday with Ice Cube, Bastille and James Bay all performing before Rudimental close the show.  American indie band Elvis Depressedly play at the Green Door Store before the release of their new album California Dreamin’.
